Chapter 13 - The Real Mission
The small robot unplugged its cable from the cigarette lighter, its turquoise eyes blinking softly as the truck's dashboard returned to its normal, dim amber glow.
"Escape successful," the robot chirped happily. "Thank you, Father."
Jack turned his head slowly, looking at the tiny silver machine sitting on his dashboard. "Okay, little guy. Stop calling me that. And start talking. What were you doing in that missile? And why did you land in front of me?"
The robot's face screen shifted, displaying a holographic map of the North American continent with a bright red blinking dot positioned right over a small, quiet town thirty miles north of their location.

"My creator sent me to find the key to the main vault before the Corporation arrived," the robot said, its tone turning serious. "The key was hidden twenty years ago in a local residence."
Jack stared at the blinking red dot on the map. The coordinates were pinpointed directly over his childhood home—the house his late father had left him in his will.
