Michael remembered after seeing room photographs.

He confronted William.

“Did you order destruction?”
“No.”
“Did your father?”
“He wanted records gone. William stopped him.”
Helen said she spent years quietly protecting archive because father’s actions shamed her.
Her note CAST RECOVERED looked suspicious because she was monitoring capsule.
Could she be lying?
Possible.
Then forensic review of Emma profile showed creator used an old admin credential.
Credential belonged to:
RICHARD COLE.
But Richard had been dead four years.
Someone inherited or stole credentials.
Helen knew them?
She claimed no.
Cyber team found access originated from retired laptop.
Last assigned employee:
Michael Bennett.
Michael stared.
“That laptop disappeared when I left.”

Then Emma asked question adults had missed.
“Why did they put my name?”
Everyone looked.

Why Emma specifically?
If goal was simply fake authorization, random name easier.
Why a seven-year-old descendant?
