Anna knew she might not finish File 614.
But did she expect death?
No evidence her highway accident was anything but accident.
Vehicle records, weather and witness accounts supported loss of control on wet road.
Do not turn every death into murder.
Yet in weeks before accident Anna built contingency system.
Why?
Because she was pregnant/new mother dealing with complex trust dispute and wanted Lily protected if anything happened.
She scheduled message for Lily’s sixth birthday because trust audit would activate then.
She stored paternity separately.
She warned Eleanor about bloodline misdirection.
She told Victor only partial truth because she knew he would aggressively protect Lily and possibly derail legal investigation.
She asked Gabriel to help trace Cross records before their relationship broke.
Then Catherine’s old attorney notes revealed missing player.
Trust auditor appointed under Catherine’s settlement:
Rebecca Sloan.
Rebecca had authority to initiate six-year review.
Age fifty-nine.
Current status:
missing for three weeks.
Police traced.
Not missing involuntarily.
She checked into long-term hotel under own name.
Why hide?
She feared someone accessing Ward 2 accounts.
Who?
She would speak only with Lily’s guardian.
Claire met her with attorney.
Rebecca explained scheduled transfer.
She created it.
It was audit test.
Any unauthorized attempt to approve transfer would reveal compromised credentials.
Eleanor’s certificate appeared.
But transfer never moved funds.
So no theft occurred.
Who used Eleanor token?
Rebecca did not know.
Then she revealed Anna had given her instructions six years earlier:
“When Lily turns six, force everyone who knows part of story to expose themselves.”
Claire frowned.
“Anna planned all this?”
Not exact events.
She created audit triggers.
Rebecca activated them.
Julian received notice.
Martin detected transfer.
Gabriel received paternity review.
Eleanor received File 614.
But Rebecca did not send anonymous inflammatory packet.
Someone piggybacked on audit.
Whoever it was wanted Eleanor to attack Lily’s legitimacy.
Then Rebecca showed original Ward 2 beneficiary map.
Catherine’s share did not pass directly to Anna.
It passed to “youngest verified descendant at age six.”
Lily.
Value?
Approximately $12 million in property interests.
Governed independently.
Not cash she could simply take.
Who benefits if Lily disqualified?
Share returns proportionally to remaining Ward 2 beneficiaries.

Hale Family Medical Trust.
Martin Hale’s family.
Martin became prime suspect.
Then Rebecca shook head.
“Hales waived reversion rights twenty years ago.”
Who was next?
