Claire’s role needed complete answer.
She had met Rebecca.
She learned:
Rebecca alive,
Vault 17,
Richard involvement,
Martin suspicion.
Claire assumed Emma was infiltrating Ethan’s life to access vault.
That part true.
She began watching Emma.
Found balcony tests.
Confronted.
Emma said:
“If you tell Ethan before I get card, he’ll lock everything behind lawyers.”
Claire believed.
Emma threatened:
“If you come near me when Ethan arrives, I’ll make sure he sees you as the one who pushed.”
Claire thought bluff.
Then Emma positioned herself by railing.
Claire grabbed her upper arms.
Trying to pull away.
Emma twisted.

Claire answered:
“Because Rebecca asked me not to.”
Emma laughed bitterly.
“And you call me manipulative.”
Claire had no reply.
Everyone protected someone’s secret by denying someone else information.
That was pattern.
Then Vault contained Claire’s father Michael Arden’s audit.
He had investigated Northcrest and Rebecca after 2004 email.
Why?
Michael believed Martin altered agreement.
He collected evidence.
Why didn’t Claire know?
Her father died when she was twenty-four.

Again.

Then Rebecca recognized one file.
“This isn’t mine.”
A sealed case inside Vault 17:
EMMA CALDWELL — ACCESS ONLY AFTER AGE 30.
Emma was 30 now.
