Claire had left company eighteen months ago.

Medical leave.
Could she be involved?
Police located her.
Claire admitted processing batches under Ethan credentials because board portal allowed delegated signing.
Ethan had verbally approved general renewals.
Did he knowingly renew child tracking?
“No.”
He thought renewals covered de-identified retrospective research.
Actual attachments expanded prospective child monitoring.
He never read.
Negligence.
Not conspiracy.
Mia discovered father’s signature and assumed he knew.
That was why she lost trust.
Ethan broke down.
“I signed without reading.”
Emma answered:
“You let your name become permission.”
It hurt because true.
Then investigators found forged amendments inserted by Samuel after Ethan approvals.
He expanded scope.

Samuel feared shutdown.

Ethan stared at mother again.
“I was told Mia was trespassing and Samuel needed private conversation.”
“You disabled cameras?”
“For forty minutes.”
“Why?”
“To keep a teenager off corporate security records.”
Every attempt to protect reputation buried truth further.
What happened during meeting?
Samuel admitted Mia confronted him.

Then Eleanor arrived.

Patient:
EMMA BENNETT, age 24.
Not child.
Emma herself had been enrolled in Project Continuity.
