Ava had panic attacks during transport.

“Did she hurt you?”

Ava thought they were going Pennsylvania.
She woke in Colorado.

Then Mia contacted Ava years later.
Not before disappearance?

Mia found her through private forum.
Ava told her entire story.

Why disappear instead of tell Ethan?

Emma understood why Mia disappeared.
She wanted stop system before Lucy was born.
Then Ethan asked Ava:
“Where is Mia now?”
Ava hesitated.
“I promised.”
Ethan begged.
Ava finally said:
“She came back last year.”
“To where?”
“Your house.”
Impossible.
Emma would know.
Ava shook head.
“Not inside.”
“She met Eleanor in backyard at night.”
Emma turned toward Eleanor.

“What did Mia want?”
