The older clip did not prove Ethan had attacked Claire before.
It did not prove Eleanor had secretly committed some hidden murder.
It did not reveal a second family.
It revealed something harder:
Claire had been documenting the Mercer family’s violence, intimidation and misuse of power for nearly ten years because verbal complaints repeatedly disappeared into private family management.
The clip Eleanor recognized came from 2017.
