Ethan had been fifteen.
Sophie was nineteen by then, not fifteen as old guest list typo suggested.
She babysat Ethan and Lucas when Thomas worked nights.
Smart.
Wanted study hospitality management.
Richard Whitmore sponsored scholarship.
Six months after Rebecca’s death, Sophie crashed on icy highway.
Accidental.
No conspiracy.
Then what did Thomas mean “died at Ashbourne before accident”?

Then Claire asked about Olivia’s father.

“My father told me Sophie was blackmailing Lucas.”
Lucas stared.
“She never asked me for money.”
Vanessa realized Richard had lied.

To keep her away from Lane family.
Then Claire looked at Vanessa.
“Your father wasn't protecting you from Claire.”
She glanced toward Olivia’s DNA report.
“He was protecting you from knowing the man you loved already had a daughter.”
Vanessa whispered:
“He knew before we met?”
Richard had introduced Vanessa and Lucas.
Three years ago.
So yes.
Richard deliberately brought his daughter together with father of Sophie’s child while concealing Olivia.
