Vincent had stronger financial motive than Victor.
After twin died, Vincent took over medical consulting contract.
He advised Holloway family office on Grant’s long-term care.
$320,000 annually.
Rachel discovered.
Was he keeping Grant weak?
No evidence of drugging.
But he repeatedly discouraged experimental rehab.
Why?
He claimed risk.
Then internal emails:
If Grant regains meaningful ambulation, long-term care model will be reassessed.
Contract might end.
Conflict of interest.
Vincent knew.
Did he falsify?
Independent review found he selectively emphasized negative findings and omitted promising assessments.
Professional misconduct.
Not physical poisoning.
But enough to keep Grant pessimistic.
Rachel confronted Vincent two years earlier.
He agreed terminate contract and disclose.
Then Selena intervened.
She begged Rachel for forty-eight hours to speak with uncle.

Family.
Again.
During those forty-eight hours Vincent destroyed some notes.
Rachel never forgave Selena.
That ended their alliance.
Now Selena’s “She’s ruining everything!” gained deeper meaning.
Emma had found evidence Rachel preserved.
Selena feared entire Marlowe family history collapsing.
Not just her own vial mistake.
Then Vincent was alive.
Grant confronted through attorneys.
Vincent admitted conflict.
He denied intentionally preventing recovery.
“I believed prognosis.”
“But you omitted positive reports.”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because I thought they were noise.”
“And because contract paid you.”
Silence.
“Yes.”
Then Grant asked about blue vial.
Vincent provided it to Rachel.
He wanted challenge testing.
Why suddenly help?
Guilt.
He had begun suspecting Grant’s weakness included treatable neuromuscular condition.
Rachel convinced him.
He gave sample as reference for specialist, not administration.
So blue vial symbolized delayed diagnosis.
Emma’s smile?
Still something.
Then Emma finally admitted she had done one thing.
The night Selena attacked her, before confrontation, Emma moved Grant’s footrest.
Why?
Rachel’s video told her:
If Dad ever says he feels tingling, move right footrest one inch lower and ask him to press down.
Emma had heard Grant say his leg felt “electric” that afternoon after missing dose of muscle relaxant.
She adjusted footrest.
Grant stared.
“So you did make my foot touch floor.”
“Yes.”
But not make him stand.
She merely created position allowing him to discover movement.
Why smile?
“Because Mom said if your foot pushes back, you'll know.”
Emma had interpreted like secret mission.
Grant hugged her.
Then told her gently:
“No more medical missions.”
“Okay.”
“You tell me.”
“Okay.”
Rachel should never have placed that burden on child.
Even loving plan could be wrong.
Then Grant asked:
“What vial were you holding at end?”
“Blue one.”
“How did it get under sofa?”
“I put it there.”
“Why?”
“To keep Selena from finding it.”
There.
Emma’s secret.
She had hidden evidence, not administered treatment.
But one last mystery:
Why did Rachel believe Grant might suddenly move specifically after missing medication?
Which medication?
Current muscle relaxant.

Grant looked at Bell.
