Chapter 5 - The Fall Among the Presents
Claire’s eyes widened in horror, but her shock quickly turned into frantic rage. Forgetting her aristocratic posture, she rushed directly at Ethan with her manicured nails raised, her voice screeching across the hall.
"How dare you!" Claire shrieked.
Ethan stepped into her path and landed ONE FORCEFUL STRAIGHT PUNCH squarely to Claire’s jaw. The sheer kinetic force lifted the brunette off her feet, sending her staggering backward into the massive mountain of red-and-gold wrapped Christmas presents. Boxes tumbled in every direction, bows tore, and ribbons scattered across the cream marble as she crumpled into the pile of holiday decor.

"You picked the wrong child," Ethan said, his voice a low, terrifying rumble that silenced the room.
He turned on his heel without another glance at the fallen couple and walked back toward his daughter.
