Chapter 11 - The Glass Room

The air grew colder with every step Ethan took. The stone staircase led into a vast, arched cellar beneath the old wing of the estate, far removed from the luxurious living quarters above. At the far end of the cellar, behind a wall of reinforced thick glass, sat a fully equipped medical isolation room lit by dim fluorescent tubes.
Ethan walked toward the glass, his heart pounding so hard against his ribs it felt like a hammer. Inside the sterile room, surrounded by monitors and IV drips, lay a bed.

It was Eleanor.
