Eleanor admitted the demand came from an anonymous packet.
That changed everything.
She had still chosen to act.
Still ordered Emma into the cage.
Still humiliated her.

Because three days earlier, Eleanor received documents claiming Emma planned to move Orpheus offshore and cut the Mercer family out permanently.

Emails.

All looked real.
Emma stared.
“I never did this.”
The signature was hers.

She had signed a trust amendment months earlier.

Eleanor panicked.

Daniel Vale.
He admitted.
