Chapter 15 - The Unbroken Clover

Six months later, spring arrived at the Vance estate. The long, dark storm of the scandal had finally settled, leaving behind a quiet renewal.
Lily sat on a wooden bench in the estate's private gardens, watching five-month-old Nadia roll around on a soft blanket spread across the green grass. The baby giggled loudly, reaching her tiny hands toward the bright yellow daffodils swaying in the soft breeze.
Ethan walked down the stone path, carrying two glasses of iced tea. He handed one to Lily and sat beside her on the bench, enjoying the warm afternoon sun. He looked at Lily, noting how much she had grown—the frightened, mud-stained girl who had broken through the wedding doors was now a confident, beautiful young woman with bright eyes and a peaceful smile.
Lily reached down and gently picked up Nadia, adjusting the tiny gold clover bracelet still fastened around the baby’s wrist. She flipped the charm over, looking at the custom symbol engraved on the reverse side—the symbol her sister had left behind as a beacon of truth.
“Thank you, Ethan,” Lily said quietly, looking up at him with deep gratitude. “For keeping your promise.”

Ethan smiled, wrapping a protective arm around her shoulder as they watched the baby play. “We’re family now, Lily,” he said softly. “And family stays together.”
As Ethan looked toward the distant hills, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He pulled it out, opening a new encrypted text message from his chief security officer. Attached to the message was a photograph of a second gold clover bracelet that had just been recovered from a private safety deposit box in London—a bracelet belonging to a third sister whose existence Senator Montgomery had hidden from everyone, leaving a new mystery waiting in the shadows.
