Gabriel did not run.
He placed pin on table.
“Henry gave it to me before he died.”
“Why?”
“As authorization.”
“For what?”
“To continue investigation.”
Gabriel had spent six years quietly tracing Adrian Grant’s old shell companies.
He carried pin only when meeting former Halcyon sources as proof he represented Henry.
Had he attacked Rebecca?
“No.”
Security footage placed him Florida at exact time.
So attacker stole or copied pin? Fragment maybe another duplicate.
Then forensic inspection showed fragment was not Henry’s.
Same design, mass-produced.
Could belong to Margaret.
Her estate possessions went to Claire.

So mysterious woman behind door was Rebecca Hale.
She came willingly to deliver Rachel’s evidence.
Samuel attacked her because he wrongly believed she threatened his dead sister’s reputation.
Claire discovered Rebecca and confronted Eleanor about files before Ethan entered.
Why did Eleanor not immediately free Rebecca?
Because Rebecca claimed Rachel was returning and Eleanor wanted prevent Ethan learning until she verified.

Again secrecy.
Then why Ethan recognized Rebecca?

Inside ledger photos proved Adrian accessed Halcyon locations and billed Carter Foundation for surveillance disguised as transport.
Henry planned federal referral.
But he did not.

Rachel’s notes showed he discovered something else.

Trust administrator:
Margaret Bell.
Claire’s mother.
Claire stared.
Everything pointed back to Margaret again.
Then Gabriel said:
“Margaret wasn’t stealing.”
“What was she doing?”
“She was paying someone.”
“Who?”
Gabriel looked at Rachel on screen.
Rachel answered:
“The woman who survived before any of us were supposed to know she existed.”
Ethan remembered Claire’s line.
“She wasn’t supposed to survive.”
It had been about Melissa’s surgery.
Or so they thought.
