“My mother lent you money.”
“She also made me feel like charity.”
“Did Sarah know?”
“Yes.”
Ryan stood.
“So everyone knew except me.”
Michael answered:
“I didn’t.”
Ryan laughed.
“Of course you didn’t. You never read anything.”
That landed.
Michael did not retaliate.
Because true.
Then Ryan admitted $90k reimbursement.
He realized vendor scheme had gone too far and started repaying personally.
Why not full disclosure?
He wanted fix before Michael found.

Ryan answered:

Claire looked betrayed.

Michael stared.
