Sienna did not delete the email.
Did not forward it casually.
Did not call Eleanor.
She preserved it.
Outside forensic counsel took custody of the file.
The address looked real at first glance:

It was disabled.
Could someone reactivate or spoof it?
Yes.
Email headers showed routing through a private domain configured to mimic Vantage.

Payment:
prepaid card.
Harder.
Then metadata from Eleanor’s copy revealed she received the email from Victor Dane three weeks before the yacht party.
His message:
I warned you she was dangerous. This proves she’s been setting Hawthorne up.
Eleanor believed him.
At least partly.
That changed the yacht scene.
She had not merely thought Sienna was poor.
By the party, Eleanor suspected Sienna was financially powerful and hostile to family interests.
So why still call her service staff?
Because contempt had become strategy.
Humiliate her.
Provoke her.
Get Julian to choose family.
Perhaps discredit her before debt enforcement.
Sienna reviewed other messages.
Eleanor to Charles:
If Julian stays with her, she will use him against us.
Charles:
Then tell him what Victor found.
Eleanor:
He won’t believe me. I need her to show her face.
The party was a test.
Not unlike what Sienna had sensed.
Push until Sienna retaliates.

But Eleanor had not expected Sienna to remain calm.

He cooperated after receiving legal process.
Who hired him?
Victor Dane.
The false email was part of Victor’s defense strategy.
If Sienna discovered Rowan Harbor, he wanted documents ready to suggest she had engineered the transaction.

and a folder named INSURANCE.
Inside was something unrelated to Sienna.

Insured:
Charles Richardson.
Benefit:
$20 million.
Policyholder:
Hawthorne Leisure Holdings.
Nothing unusual for a major company.
But another draft changed beneficiary structure to an entity controlled partly by Victor as “credit protection consultant.”
Never executed.
Why was it there?
Victor’s lawyer said it was an abandoned restructuring proposal.
Possibly.
Then one more file:
Richardson succession notes.
Victor had been planning for Charles’s potential removal.
Who would take over Hawthorne if Charles stepped aside?
He proposed Julian.
Julian had never agreed.
Why Julian?
Because Victor thought he could control him through family pressure.
Sienna read a note:
J.R. avoids conflict. Mother can move him.
The words sickened her.
Different people had independently identified the same vulnerability in Julian.
Eleanor used it.
Charles used it.
Victor noticed it.
Sienna had suffered from it.

Sienna frowned.
“What reserve account?”
Julian shook his head.
